European Fish Week 2011

OCEAN2012's European Fish Week is over and it was a great success. Close to 50 events were held by OCEAN2012 and its member groups across Europe 4-12 June with participation of ministers, parliamentarians, scientists, journalists and others, carrying the main message of going back to the future in fisheries. There were photo exhibitions in nine countries that really captured people’s attention. The media also showed great interest which resulted in many radio and tv interviews, and news articles in The Guardian, the International Herald Tribune, the New York Times, Le Monde, Libération, EFE Verde, La Stampa, Repubblica, the list is almost endless. Now looking forward to the handover of Fish Week products to national fisheries ministers, coming soon...
